Nominations open for annual Ward and Partners Children's Awards in Kent

The annual search to find the county’s most courageous youngsters is back – and this time there’s a spooky twist.

The finalists in this year’s Ward and Partners Children’s Awards winners will get to attend a spook-tacular ceremony just a few days before Halloween.

The nomination period to find this year’s inspiring bunch of children has now opened.

There are six categories – and nominating a child, family or charity couldn’t be easier.

TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY: For children with severe disabilities and illnesses who are working to overcome them. Three age groups: 0-5 6-11 12-16

YOUNG FUNDRAISER: For the child or group of children who have raised fund for charity

GOING FOR GOLD: Fr achievement in sports, music, visual and performing arts despite disability

EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG CARER: For young carers who care for other family members

COURAGEOUS FAMILY: For families who coped with severe illness or disability

OUTSTANDING CHARITY: Rewarding charitable and voluntary groups who support children who face challenges in life

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

All our finalists will attend a fab, fun awards ceremony on Friday, October 27 at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel which will be hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins.
