Police appeal after car drivers' altercation

A CRASH between two cars in south East London later led to a disturbance at a Kent supermarket service station miles away.

The two cars - a Mercedes and a Toyota - collided at the junction of Thames Road and Kennet Road, Erith, on Saturday, January 22. After the collision, the drivers of both cars pulled over into a lay-by where an argument broke out and the Toyota suffered further damage.

The two cars then followed each other towards the M25 and on to the M20 sliproad where another altercation broke out.

At about 8.55am, both the Toyota and the Mercedes ended up at the Sainsbury’s service station at Quarry Wood, Aylesford, near Maidstone, where another argument ensued.

Police believe that many people in Erith, the M25, M20 and Aylesford areas would have seen the events taking place.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Nicky Griffith on 01622 608189 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
