Police cordon off Foley Street in Maidstone after disturbance

Police have cordoned off a road after they were called to a disturbance.

Officers were called to Foley Street in Maidstone shortly after 8am and arrested a man on suspicion of a public order offence.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a cut to his face before being taken into custody.

Footage sent to KentOnline shows a section of the road has been taped off and officers remain at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Two further men were also arrested at a town centre address in connection with the incident and an investigation is underway into the circumstances.”
