Police issue CCTV of toy shop theft in Westwood Cross, Thanet

Police have released these CCTV images of three men they want to speak to about a theft at a Kent shopping centre.

Smyths toy store at Westwood Cross shopping centre in Thanet was raided at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 1, but police have only just released the details.

One of the men is thought to have distracted a cashier, while two others stole cash from one of the tills.

The first suspect is described as white, aged around 25, about 5ft 10in tall, with receding dark coloured hair. He was wearing a green and blue horizontal striped top and dark coloured trousers.

The second is described as white, aged around 25, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall, with dark hair thining on top. He was wearing a blue hooded sleeveless jacket, with a grey long sleeved top underneath, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The third is described as white, aged around 25, about 5ft 10in tall, with black hair. He was wearing a grey and black tracksuit top with a red hood, dark trousers and black trainers.

Anyone with any information, or who can identify any of the men in the CCTV images is asked to contact PC Dan Smitherman on 01227 868372.

PC Smitherman is also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have been in and around the Smyths store between 5 and 6pm on that day.
