Police probe office fire

An investigation has been launched following a suspected arson attack at an office in St Paul’s Cray.

Staff had to be evacuated when a cupboard of cleaning materials and toilet rolls caught fire at the Ravensquay Business Centre, Cray Avenue, shortly before 3pm on Tuesday.

Fire crews moved into the building, owned by Parker Bromley Ltd, to put out the flames which had left an estimated £500 damage to the contents of a cupboard and the surrounding floor.

A fire service investigator believes the fire was started intentionally and police are now investigating the incident.

It is believed the fire was contained in an area with restricted public access.

Anyone with any information should contact Bromley Police on 01689 891212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
