Police are investigating a suspected stabbing in Sheerness this morning.

The incident happened at 4.40am at a house in Queensway after three men approached a man and attacked him on his doorstep.

The men are thought to have had a dog with them.

Police said a 27-year-old man received a superficial wound and was taken to hospital.

Forensic officers and police are still on the scene and the house has been taped off.

Although police said the victim was attacked with an unknown weapon, residents have speculated that he was stabbed.
