Kent Police search for troubled paraglider in Wested Lane area of Swanley ends after safe landing

A paraglider reported to have lost control while in the skies over Kent has managed to land safely.

Police were called shortly before 7pm yesterday after reports someone might have been in difficulty in the Wested Lane area of Swanley.

But it has now been confirmed the paraglider managed to return to the ground safely.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police is no longer seeking assistance from the public following concerns for the welfare of a paraglider in the Swanley area on Monday.

“It is understood they landed safely and officers would like to thank all those who assisted with their enquiries.”
