What’s big, orange and black and white all over?

The answer is a pumpkin being nibbled by badgers, which is a Halloween treat laid on for visitors to Wildwood.

The Herne Common conservation park introduces the fruit every year to its animal enclosures.

According to the keepers, badgers tend to tear into their pumpkins, whereas wolves are puzzled by them, while Boris the wild boar demolishes his in minutes.

The Halloween feasts comprise of pumpkins stuffed with delicacies such as peanuts, meat or fruit depending on its target animal.

And this year Wildwood is offering members of the public the chance to sponsor a pumpkin and choose which animal to feed it to.
