Buckingham Palace says the usually "private medical matter" is being shared to prevent further speculation.

A royal source told the BBC the vaccinations were administered on Saturday by a household doctor at Windsor Castle.

It is not known whether they received the Pfizer/BioNTech or the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab.

About 1.5 million people in the UK have received a Covid vaccination so far.
