TIM REEVES claimed his third successive World Sidecar title at the weekend.

The Aylesford racer fought off competition from Finnish pair Pekka Paivarinta and Timo Karttiala to take the crown with passenger Patrick Farrance.

Reeves and Farrance claimed a win and a third place in Croatia on Sunday, which was enough to seal the championship, and also help Team Eastern Airways to victory.

"I'm over the moon," said Reeves. "To get the hat-trick and to get the team title as well is fantastic.

"It was a relief to cross the line. It was real hard work and the battle was taken right to the end. It was sheer relief to know we had done it."
