A man was arrested after a brawl in a street closed a road.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance in Sea View Road, Herne Bay, yesterday afternoon.

It was reported the road was shut so officers could deal with the incident.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.28pm yesterday to a report of a disturbance in Sea View Road, Herne Bay.

“Officers attended and a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray.

“The road was temporarily closed as a precaution and has now reopened.”
