Kent skipper Rob Key suffered a second blow in as many days, when on Sunday he was overlooked for the final Ashes Test.

Key (pictured) had been strongly linked with a return to the England set-up but, a day after seeing his side lose in the Twenty20 Cup semi-finals, he failed to make the 14-man squad.

Instead, the England selectors went for Warwickshire's Jonathan Trott as the man to replace Ravi Bopara, who has been dropped after a disappointing run of scores.
