RSPCA plea for help to unmask dog killer

The RSPCA is still searching for a dog killer who tortured and dumped nine animals.

Investigators are appealing for information following the grim discoveries in the Woudlham Common area over the last few weeks.

The dogs have been found with horrific injuries including a broken back, broken legs and cuts all over their bodies.

An RSPCA spokesman said: “We have had lots of calls from people saying how shocked and appalled they are.

"We have also had calls from people who were concerned that the dogs found were their missing pets but on further investigation this has not been the case.

“But so far we have had no information as to who is dumping these dogs.

“We are still appealing for people to come forward if they know who is doing this. The dogs’ injuries were appalling and these people need to be caught.”

The RSPCA is also still investigating the death of a dog after it was kicked by youths in Albany Road, Chatham, on December 17.

• Anyone with information about either case is asked to contact the RSPCA in confidence on 0300 1234 999.
