Quorn recalls Tikka Masala ready meals over rubber fears

A batch of microwave meals have been recalled.

Quorn is worried diners hoping to tuck into its Tikka Masala ready meals could instead be dining on pieces of rubber.

Now the manufacturer is asking for customers to return 400g packs with a use by date of either March, 1, 2 or 3 this year.

A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency said: "Products may contain pieces of flexible rubber which could represent a safety risk.

"Return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

"For any enquiries you can phone 0845 602 9000 or email customer.services@quornfoods.com."

Customers are being told not to eat the affected meals and instead return them for a full refund.
