Dulwich get away from Faversham at Salters Lane on Saturday

Maidstone United kept their title hopes alive with a 3-0 win at Three Bridges on Saturday.

Danny Lye, Alex Flisher and Ade Olorunda scored the goals which fired the Stones to victory in west Sussex.

The win leaves Maidstone top of Ryman League, Division 1 South on goal difference ahead of Dulwich Hamlet, who won 2-0 at Faversham Town and still have a game in hand.

Dulwich’s goals at Salters Lane came from Ellis Green and Xavier Vidal. Despite the defeat, Faversham sit fourth and stay on course for a play-off place.

Kent clubs occupy four of the top five spots in the division. Hythe Town are third after goals from Dave Cook and Craig Thompson helped them beat Crawley Down 2-1 at Reachfields.

Ramsgate’s 2-0 win at home to Worthing leaves them fifth with four games to play. Ian Pulman scored both goals at Southwood as the Rams chalked up their fourth straight home win.

Hot on the heels of the top-five are Folkestone Invicta, who won 3-1 at Walton Casuals on Saturday.

Richard Atkins (2) and Phil Stevenson fired Neil Cugley’s side to a victory which leaves them one point outside the play-offs.

Promotion now looks to be beyond Sittingbourne after they lost for the third time in four games. A 1-0 defeat at Chipstead saw the Brickies drop to 10th.

Goals from Max Miller and Ryan Thompson comdemned Whitstable Town to a 2-0 defeat at Burgess Hill, while Herne Bay’s 1-0 home defeat to Leatherhead means they have won just one of their last 12 league games.

Margate remain in the Premier Division play-off spots despite losing 4-0 at struggling Carshalton. Sean O’Toole put the home side in front before Nathaniel Pinney helped himself to a hat-trick.

A 1-0 home defeat to Thurrock has left Cray Wanderers six points above the relegation zone. Charlie Stimson scored the only goal 16 minutes from time.

In Division 1 North, Thamesmead Town kept their promotion hopes alive with a 1-0 win at home to Tilbury. Stuart Zanone scored the only goal and the Mead sit comfortably in third.

Chatham Town ended their seven-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Brentwood at Maidstone Road. Matt Solly and Gary Tilley scored the goals.
