Sittingbourne moved back into the Ryman League Division 1 South play-off places with a 5-2 home win over bottom-of-the-table Three Bridges on Saturday.

Ryan Golding led the way with a hat-trick and Ashley Baverstock scored his first goal for the Brickies, with Ryan Cooper completing their tally.

Maidstone United remain five points clear at the top after their 4-0 success at Walton & Hersham. Ade Olorunda and Stuart King both scored twice for the Stones.

Third-placed Faversham Town earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Eastbourne Town thanks to a 90th-minute equaliser from Matt Bourne and Hythe Town made it four wins in five games with a 1-0 home victory over Walton Casuals courtesy of a first-half strike from Brendon Cass.

Folkestone Invicta are a place behind Hythe in eighth after drawing 1-1 at Worthing. They looked set to come home with all three points after Darren Smith’s 37th-minute penalty but Worthing equalised in the closing seconds.

Herne Bay also picked up a point in a goalless draw at Tooting & Mitcham but Whitstable Town were beaten 5-0 at home by Leatherhead and Ramsgate lost 3-0 at Southwood to title-chasing Dulwich Hamlet.

In the Ryman Premier, two of the division’s form sides, Margate and Hendon, battled out a goalless draw in north London.

In Ryman 1 North, Thamesmead suffered their first league defeat since early December when they lost 1-0 at home to Witham Town while a 30-yard strike from Danny Lawrence earned Chatham Town a 1-1 draw at Waltham Abbey.
