Serial killer Peter Tobin has spent several days in hospital after falling ill ahead of an appeal against the length of one of his sentences.

Tomorrow's hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh has been withdrawn.

Tobin, who is 63, was given a life sentence in 2008 with a minimum recommendation of 30 years for killing schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton.

He is also serving life for murdering two other women.

The appeal comes after the bodies of two women - Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol - were found at his Margate home.
