Severe weather warning for Kent as fog threatens to cause chaos

Fog is threatening to cause chaos across Kent after a severe weather warning was placed across the county.

The Met Office warned of sometimes dense fog for Kent, and across the south east, which could cause disruption to travel.

It said it would be particularly widespread in the east, with extensive low cloud leading to fog on the hills and in lower levels.

It is expected to lift into the mid to late morning.

The warning comes amid claims a dredger may have hit some boats in thick fog in Rochester yesterday.
