A man received medical attention after a blaze broke out in a garage.

Firefighters were called to Archers Court Road in Whitfield, near Dover, to reports a garage was alight and flames were spreading to a house on Sunday evening.

Footage shared online shows a black Jaguar XKR parked inside the garage as black smoke billows out.

Six fire engines attended at about 5.30pm and crews brought the fire under control and prevented further spread.

The fire service’s volunteer response team also attended to provide support to the occupants, and a man was handed into the care of paramedics.

Crews left the scene just after 9pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
