Boxer Joe Calzaghe and actor Michael Sheen will be among the celebrities flocking to Ashford today for the KMFM Charity Challenge Cup.

The annual football match at the Julie Rose Stadium has a star-studded line-up, including actors Danny Dyer and singer Simon Webbe from the boy band Blue.

Former international footballers Neil "Razor" Ruddock and Neville Southall will also be taking part, as will EastEnders actors Dean Gaffney, who played Robbie Jackson, and Devon Anderson, who plays Billy Jackson.

The day will start with penalty shoot-out competitions for children from 11.45am, followed by the Help for the Heroes Cup match between soldiers of the 3rd Battalion Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment and the 103 Battalion Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers at 1pm.

During the afternoon, there will be music from the wartime and swing duo the Swingtime Sweethearts from 3pm, before the Tigers freefall team parachute the match ball on to the pitch at 4pm and the celebrities begin their match.

In the evening there will be more music, from Ashford rock band Know Your Enemy, rhythm and blues covers from the Four Cajonees and Kylie Minogue tribute act Jo Steele before Status Quo tribute band Counterfeit Quo take to the stage at 9.30pm.

All proceeds from the day will go to wounded servicemen's charity Help the Heroes.

Tickets cost £12 for adults, £5 for children and £30 for a family ticket. They will be available at the ground but it is advisable to buy in advance.
