The KM Group has swept the boards at the Kent Press and Broadcast Awards.

The editorial team shared four top awards at the first event of its kind, organised by Maxim PR, at the Spitfire Ground at St Lawrence in Canterbury.

They included KentOnline for online news service; Steve Tervet, for sports reporter; Ashley Austen for newspaper designer and Vicky Castle for Kent young journalist.

Congratulations were also given for the raft of commendations in various categories.

They included Chris Pragnell for Kent journalist of the year; Kent Messenger for newspaper of the year; Hayley Robinson for Kent feature journalist; Matt Walker for press photographer and Kentish Gazette for campaign of the year.

Editorial director Ian Carter said: "This is a fantastic result, and one which is a credit to each and every member of the editorial team."
