An IT worker who killed a woman he met on the net before emptying her bank account and dumping her body in a suitcase in Kent has been jailed for life today.

Clinton Bailey used the cash to splash out on bottles of champagne for another girlfriend days after the death of Leah Questin in south London last September.

The Old Bailey heard the South African stored her body in his garage, before dumping it in the Kent countryside.

Ms Questin's remains were found inside the case on farmland off Buckland Road, Cliffe, on Thursday, September 24.

A dog walker made the discovery while walking near the Old Pond.

Care worker Ms Questin, 37, was reported missing overnight on September 16/17 after last being seen at her home in Sneyd Road, Cricklewood, north London.

Medway police officers began the investigation but it was taken over by the Met when it was realised that Philippines-born Ms Questin lived in London.

Bailey, of Malpas Road, Brockley, was found guilty of murder and told he must serve at least 30 years in jail.

He swore and called jurors "stupid" after being convicted before storming out of the dock.
