Thousands more people tune in to kmfm according to new RAJAR figures

Thousands more people are tuning into kmfm according to new figures released today.

Latest industry RAJAR data shows 198,000 are listening to Kent's radio station for almost one million hours every week, an increase of 5,000 from last quarter.

kmfm Breakfast with Garry and Laura leads the way with 126,000 people choosing to wake up with the pair, while an extra 17,000 extra people are tuning into daytimes with Andy Walker compared to the previous three months.

Since lockdown, online listening numbers have continued to grow with a 20% increase in unique listeners and more than half of those are listening via Alexa.

Rob Wills, kmfm programme manager, said: “Seeing more people tuning in to Kent's Radio Station is always great for us.

"As many of the team broadcast from their homes in lockdown it's great to know that you are there.

"Thanks for supporting us and we all hope we are getting you through it too."

kmfm is the only commercial radio station broadcasting to the whole of Kent from studios in the county.
