Three arrests after mass brawl

Three teenagers have been arrested after a man was left in a serious condition following an early-morning mass brawl involving around 20 people.

Police sealed off a major road in Dartford for nearly 12 hours following the massive melee at 2.30am Saturday, January 8 which left one man hospitalised and another treated for injuries sustained in the street fight.

A 20-year-old man is in Darent Valley Hospital in what police describe as a 'serious condition' and another 18-year-old suffered injuries to an arm.

Three men in their late teens were arrested in the London area and are being held in police custody.

A police spokesman said it was violent disorder but it was hoped both the injured men would recover.

Police, who remained at the scene at Dartford Road throughout Saturday, are appealing for witnesses to the fracas.

Forensic teams cordoned off the area to gather evidence.
