Three teenagers have been injured after the car they were in hit a garden wall in New Romney early yesterday.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, and two 17-year-old boys were taken to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, after the smash.

A green Ford Ka crashed into the wall of a house on the A259 Dymchurch Road, near the Warren Inn, at about 12.15am.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transferred to a London hospital. The 17-year-olds were treated for minor injuries.

All of the teenagers are from the New Romney area.

DS Scott Lynch, from Kent Police, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who saw this car travelling from the Ashford area or witnessed the actual collision."
