DETECTIVES in Thanet are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was pulled to the ground by thugs and kicked.

The victim was told to hand over his mobile phone and money but he told them he didn't take his phone out with him at night. The attackers then walked away.

Police have released a picture of one of the alleged attackers they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The attempted robbery took place in Princess Margaret Avenue, Ramsgate, at about 9.30pm on Saturday, September 20.

The main suspect is thought to be aged 17 or 18. He was wearing a cream coloured puffa jacket and baseball cap. Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to telephone WDC Sara Jackson on 01843 222025.
