Chris Price - motor hero
- hits the circuit at Brands Hatch

Kent Online reporter Chris Price took to the wheel of a powerful
touring car this week to experience something of what the
drivers at next weekend's touring car championship will be going
through.

And suffice it to say, things did not go as swimmingly
as planned...

He also met two of the stars battling for the title.

Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will host the title-deciding
season finale of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship over
Ocotber 3 and 4 and a trio of drivers will be going head-to-head
for the title.

Team RAC’s Colin Turkington leads the BTCC standings in his BMW
but VX Racing’s Fabrizio Giovanardi and the Racing Silverline
Chevrolet of Jason Plato are also both in contention for the 2009
trophy following the penultimate round at Rockingham.

Three races are to be held on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday,
October 4 with a potential 48 points for the taking, Turkington’s
13 point lead over consecutive BTCC title winner Giovanardi must
look like it is getting smaller and smaller.

Read a full interview with both
Colin Turkington and Fabrizio Giovanardi in your Motors
section of this week's Kent Messenger, Medway
Messenger, Kentish Express or Kentish Gazette.
