Weather takes its toll on ferry crossings

CROSS-Channel ferry services face another weekend of disruption due to bad weather and possible industrial action.

SeaFrance have cancelled all day trips until Monday partly because of the weather, but also because of fears of strikes by crew members.

The rough weather is likely to affect all the ferry operators, with some services being cancelled and others sailing behind schedule and having to cross the Channel more slowly due to the conditions.

Operation Stack is already in place on the M20 to help deal with the backlog of lorries waiting to get across.
