Where to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Kent

With only two weeks until England play Iran in their first game of the 2022 World Cup, people will be looking for venues in Kent where they can watch the match on the big screen and chant: "It's coming home".

After the lionesses ended the nation's 56 years of hurt in international tournaments in the summer, it is now the men's turn to try to get their hands on the trophy in Qatar.

Admission is being sold on a per table basis, with each one giving room for up to six people.

A spokesman for Folkestone Harbour Arm said: "Back in 2018 a large outdoor screen arrived in Folkestone just in time for the first England game of the World Cup.

"Since then we've shown hours of film, sport and much more. Over the years we've developed a reputation as the space to take in the greatest sporting occasions of the day, with an absolutely staggering 29,000 people applying for tickets for our screening of the European Championship final last summer.

"The Goods Yard, the home of the Harbour Screen, has also underdone a rapid transformation in the last four years. The space is now home to 10 independent, street-food style food and drink establishments.

"Most importantly for this weird, wintery World Cup most of the Goods Yard now has sheltered seating with newly-introduced heaters.
