Woman cut free after three-car collision

Emergency services freed a woman after a three-car pile-up outside Sittingbourne Railway Station.

Two fire crews and police were called to deal with a collision between a van and two cars in St Michael’s Road at around 3pm today.

A woman was cut free from a vehicle by fire fighters before being taken to hospital.

Another woman was also thought to be trapped. The road was closed between the station and Crown Key Lane.

Meanwhile, a teenage boy was taken to hospital with leg injuries after a collision involving a cyclist and a car in Staplehurst Road, Sittingbourne, at around 3.25pm today.

Police say the 13-year-old's injuries are not life-threatening.

Staplehurst Road was closed.
