Woman driver racially abused and spat at

A black woman was spat at and racially abused by two teenage boys as she drove along a Kent street.

The pair, who were both riding BMX-style bikes, rode passed the woman in Darnley Road, Strood, near Rochester and spat in her car window.

The boys are white, around 16, with slight builds and about 5ft 6in.

One is thought to have blonde, straight hair and was wearing a black tracksuit. The other has short brown hair and was wearing a black and white striped top and black trousers.

PC Terry Sims, from the specialist hate crime unit, said the incident was "completely inexcusable".

Officers hope a passerby who spoke to the boys after the incident will come forward.

It happened on Monday, September 22 at 12.30pm - but details have only just been released by police.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 01634 792541.
