A WOMAN was injured after her Mercedes Benz SLK sports car crashed through a hedge on the B2169 Tunbridge Wells to Lamberhurst road at Bells Yew Green.

The crew of a fire and rescue tender from Tunbridge Wells helped ambulance personnel release the casualty from her car on a spinal board before she was taken to hospital.

Although thought not believed to be seriously hurt, the woman, who is asthmatic, was also treated for breathing difficulties. The incident happened on Sunday evening.
