Woman injured in M20 crash between Ashford and Maidstone

A woman suffered multiple fractures following a crash on the M20 on Sunday.

The accident happened on the London-bound carriageway between, between junctions 8 and 9, Hollingbourne and Ashford.

Ashford fire service was called at 10.50am to the three-car accident, which was also attended by the Kent Air Ambulance.

The woman driver was trapped and had to be cut free by the firefighters.

Two children, who had also been in the car, were out by the time the crew arrived.

The woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with serious injuries, though they were not thought to be life threatening.

The fire crew came away at noon.
