Thousands of would-be stars are expected to attend X Factor auditions in Chatham today.

Budding performers can test their vocal chords for the hit TV show in the High Street.

The crew from the ITV contest will be on the hunt for talented singers outside the Pentagon shopping centre from 10am to 3pm.

It is the first time the X Factor van is touring the country with mobile auditions to find Britain's best vocal talent.

The X Factor judges begin touring the country later in the spring.

Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow have already been announced for this year's judging line-up, with the rest of the panel expected to be announced this month.
