Young man dies after horror crash

KENT Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man died in hospital hours after being involved in a two-car crash.

The victim, in his 20s, came from the Gravesend area. The accident happened in Thames Way at Northfleet at about 4pm on Monday.

Both cars involved, a burgundy Ford Focus and a black Nissan Pulsar, were wrecked in the smash.

A police spokesman said: "Both cars contained two men. All the men were taken to Darent Valley hospital where the occupants of the Focus were treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan died in hospital from his injuries and the passenger of the same vehicle remains in a critical condition in hospital."
