Young man's body found after flat blaze

KENT Police have named a young man whose body was found by firefighters who were called to a blaze in a flat.

He was 24-year-old Joseph Jobson. His body was discovered in the flat in Railway Street at Gillingham at about 8am on Saturday.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out after the Easter break but police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Medway firefighters were alerted to the small blaze after a smell of smoke was reported by people living in the vicinity.
