A TEENAGE passenger had to be cut free from a suspected stolen car after it crashed on Thursday morning.

The 14-year-old was trapped in the Nissan Micra after the collision at the junction of Commissioners Road and Banks Road, Strood, near Rochester.

The driver of the vehicle is thought to have left the scene after the collision, which also involved a Ford Puma.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the teenager, who is thought to have neck injuries.

The road was cordoned off by police for further investigation.
