Good times are on the way, insists Gills boss Martin Allen.

His Gillingham side claimed a third straight League 1 draw on Saturday, against Bristol City.

And Allen believes that if everyone shows a united front, then those victories will start coming.

He said: “If we keep going like this, working together as players, staff and supporters to help each other, then good times will come our way.

“The players are doing well. I am happy with the last three games.

“We have to keep that belief and desire. It was easy last year, winning game in, game out – you can just turn up and keep going.

“It is now when you have to look after each other and support each other. When everybody works together, that’s when you get good results.

“I don’t think anyone needs to be told by me that the division is much stronger than it was a few years ago.

“This is a long competition, it’s over 10 months, not 10 minutes, and we are doing all right.”
