Burscough given green light to host Gills

GILLINGHAM will travel to Burscough in the FA Cup first round, after the Lancashire side beat Hucknall 6-2 in Tuesday’s fourth qualifying round replay.

A meeting on Wednesday morning between Burscough and the local authorities gave the Unibond League Premier Division club the go-ahead to host the game.

The match takes place at Burscough’s Victoria Ground on Saturday, November 5, with the Gills allocated 600 tickets in a capacity crowd of nearly 2,500.
