Gillingham v Bristol Rovers

IAN COX has praised Gillingham's fans - and wants them to be on their usual form for Saturday's clash with Bristol Rovers at Priestfield.

The veteran centre-half said: "The crowd at Priestfield have always been superb. I've always said they act as a 12th man for us.

"After a draw and a defeat in our last two games, we need to pick some points up on Saturday. It's a big game for us."

Cox believes that the uncertainty surrounding the vacant manager’s position should not affect performances, and added the squad should target the three points as a reward for caretaker manager Iffy Onuora.

He said: "We are all adults and have to get on with the job."
