FORMER Gills manager Peter Taylor has been named as the new manager of Stevenage Borough.

Taylor, who was sacked as boss of Crystal Palace after only 16 months in charge, will include former Gillingham and Maidstone striker Steve Butler on his coaching staff.

Stevenage have been looking for a new boss since Mark Stimson, who became the new Gills manager on Thursday, resigned last month.

Taylor was unveiled at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
