GILLINGHAM bolstered their squad ahead of the trip Nottingham Forest with a double loan signing on Thursday evening.

Charlton striker Chris Dickson and Preston midfielder Adan Nowland have both joined in one-month loan deals and go straight into the squad to face Forest on Saturday.

Nowland is no stranger to Gills fans having made three appearances in the 2004/05 season during which he scored one goal, a memorable long range effort against Millwall.

Gills chairman Paul Scally said: "Both of these players will enhance our squad and will prove quality additions.

"Adam has good ability and knows all about Gillingham, having played here before.

"Dickson has super pace and is a bright young player. He will enjoy a good future in the game so it's a great double swoop for the team and our super fans."
