Ipoua: I think my Gills days are numbered

GUY IPOUA: No talks about a fresh contract

GILLINGHAM'S Guy Ipoua is resigned to leaving Priestfield at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Cameroon striker is out of contract in June and as no new offer has been forthcoming, expects to be moving on.

Ipoua, who joined Gillingham from Scunthorpe for £25,000 in March, 2001, said: “I haven't heard anything about a new contract so I can only assume that I’m in my last days at the club.

"The club haven’t talked to me about a new deal which is really disappointing because I'm settled here.”

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Gillingham’s home game against Ipswich on Saturday, March 29, may be postponed this week as the visitors expect to have three players on international duty that weekend.

Gillingham would be without goalkeeper Jason Brown for the match as he is on international duty with the Wales Under-21 side against Azerbaijan in Barry, south Wales on Friday, March 28.
