JEPSON: keen to obtain more quality players

GILLINGHAM boss Ronnie Jepson begins his summer clear-out this week as he meets with his players to announce their fate. Ten players are out of contract from a squad of 19.

Jepson said: "I know who I want to keep. I will sit down with my players and speak to the boys that are out of contract.

"It's then just about getting players with better quality in. We have got names of players we want and hopefully we can get them now to get the success that this club needs and the supporters deserve."

Those players out of contract are Ian Cox, Leon Johnson, Danny Jackman, Brent Sancho, Michael Flynn, Matt Jarvis, Danny Spiller, Luke Howell, Clint Easton, and Frannie Colin.

On-loan players Simon Royce (QPR) and Ben Chorley (MK Dons) have returned to their clubs.
