Ryan Watts fired Tonbridge Angels into the first round proper of the FA Trophy on Tuesday night.

The midfielder scored the only goal of the third qualifying round replay against AFC Sudbury, firing home in the second half.

Angels had been taken to a replay after being held to a 1-1 draw at home on Saturday, against their Ryman League, Division 1 North opponents.

Tommy Warrilow’s side will now face a home tie with St Albans City in the next round.

Ebbsfleet United clinched a semi-final spot in the Kent Senior Cup thanks to a 3-1 win over Southern Counties East League side Tunbridge Wells.

Aiden Palmer put Fleet ahead just before the break and the result was all but sealed when Alex Osborn and Billy Bricknell added second half goals.

Carl Cornell hit a late consolation for Wells.

Also making it through to the semi-finals are Whitstable Town, after a single goal was enough for them to see off Maidstone United.

The winning goal was scored after 71 minutes when Craig Maguire’s cross was buried by Charlie Smith.

Margate registered a 1-0 win at Hartsdown Park in the Ryman League, Premier Division, thanks to Gary Barrowdale’s 71 minute header.

Victory leaves Gate sitting 10 in the table.

Thamesmead Town went down 5-3 at Ware in the second round of the Ryman League Cup.
