Invicta Dynamos netminder Ian Rowlands is leaving the Gillingham Ice Bowl.

Rowlands has been unable to commit to the 2008/09 season due to work commitments.

He has been a big part of the club for the last five years and has been the number one netminder.

Head coach Kevin Parrish said: "Ian has been working away from home for the last two months and didn't want to sign knowing that he couldn't train twice a week and maybe not make the weekend games.

"I would like to thank Ian for the time he has spent at Invicta.

"I'm sure if the situation changes with his work I would get a call. The door would never be shut."
