BRANDS Hatch is set to welcome some Grand Prix legends back to Kent.

The Formula 1, Formula 5000 and sports cars that helped make the circuit world famous are all returning to the track this weekend for the Autoglym HSCC Hisotoric Festival.

The highlight of the event is likely to be the sixth round of the FIA Historic Formula One Championship, the official championship for F1 cars of decades past.

The Derek Bell Trophyshould also be one of the high points of the weekend. It features a mix of F1, F2 and F3 machines, as well as some from the popular Formula 5000 and Formula Atlantic series of the day.

A special one-off race will take place on Sunday for historic Formula Fords. The John Webb Trophy, in honour of the man who created Formula Ford at Brands Hatch, will be run for a packed grid of early Blue Oval racers, the day before the 40th anniversary of the popular series' conception.

Tickets are available on the gate priced at £20 for adults, with no charge for children aged 16 and under.
