A late Scott Kinch goal earned Margate a 1-1 draw at home to East Thurrock United on Tuesday night.

The draw moved Gate up to fourth in the Ryman League Premier Division, above Maidstone United, who travel to Cray Wanderers tonight (Wednesday).

Elsewhere, Thamesmead Town host Dulwich Hamlet.

There were three games in Division 1 South involving Kent clubs.

Whitstable Town ended their six-game winless streak with an emphatic 4-1 victory at home to county rivals Ramsgate.

James Morrish, Scott Heard and Charlie Smith put the Oystermen 3-0 up at the Belmont before James Everitt pulled a goal back for the visitors. Smith's second of the night put the result beyond doubt, though.

That result leaves Whitstable 17th, one point and four places behind the Rams.

Sittingbourne's mini-revival came to an end at Chipstead, where they lost 2-1. Joe Taylor scored for the managerless Brickies, who had won their previous three games, but now hover a point above the relegation zone.

Danny Hockton (pictured) scored for fifth-placed Faversham Town at Redhill but the Lilywhites went down to a 2-1 defeat. It was the first time Ray Turner's side had lost in the league since the opening week of the season.

Hythe Town host Herne Bay on Wednesday night.

Five goals were shared in the Kent derby between VCD Athletic and Chatham Town in Division 1 North.

Sherwin Stanley and Enoch Adjei twice gave VCD the lead only for Andy Constable to level from the penalty spot on each occasion. However, Ola Rabiu struck in the 90th minute to hand the Vickers a 3-2 win.

Erith & Belvedere won 1-0 at home to Thurrock, Jamie Miller scoring the only goal of the game.
