KENT paceman Martin Saggers has joined his county team-mate Geraint Jones in the England side for the final Test against New Zealand which started at Trent Bridge today.

Saggers was selected ahead of Lancashire's James Anderson who appeared to be favourite to clinch a place.

New Zealand have made three changes, with Craig McMillan and James Franklin coming into the side and Kyle Mills making his Test debut. Captain Stephen Fleming won the toss and chose to bat.

England: Michael Vaughan (capt), Marcus Trescothick, Andrew Strauss, Mark Butcher, Graham Thorpe, Andrew Flintoff, Geraint Jones (wkt), Ashley Giles, Matthew Hoggard, Steve Harmison, Martin Saggers.

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (capt), Mark Richardson, Brendon McCullum (wkt), Scott Styris, Craig McMillan, Nathan Astle, Jacob Oram, Chris Cairns, Chris Martin, Kyle Mills, James Franklin.
