PAUL SCALLY: "I don't think the rises are severe at all"

GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally is hoping supporters will get behind the club following the release of this season's ticket prices.

The club have raised prices slightly but Mr Scally believes the increase is a necessity, as they seek a return to the Championship.

He said: "Last season we reduced the prices far too much in the hope we would increase our numbers but we only increased them by 120, so our income was substantially down and we were well below our budget.

"We've brought the tickets in line to what they should be in this division and I don't think the rises are severe at all.

"We're pushing the boat out and making a few signings and if the supporters want us to progress then we need their help."

Matchday prices range from £17 to £22 for pre-match (last year £15-£19), while tickets on the day for adults are between £20-£25 (last year £19-£22).

Matchday prices for senior citizens cost £15-£21 (last year £14-£17), adults aged 16-21 pay £14-£16 (£13-£15) while under-16s pay £12 (last year £7-£11).
